I had my three minutes of TV air time! I was asked to be on ABC News Chanel 9’s local talk show The Daily Refresh! Let me tell you, I was both equally excited as I was panicking! This was my first (but hopefully not last) time getting to share my passion on a stage! Kristen Thomison Photo was invited to speak about being a local Chattanooga Wedding Photographer! Sierra and I chatted about why I got started in wedding photography. We also discuss things that I love about being a wedding photographer and ways that I serve my couples!
How did I get started with wedding photography?
I bought my first “nice” camera in college! It started off just taking photos for fun for myself and my blog then turned into my vlog channel on YouTube. At some point it evolved and I wanted to do photos for other people. That is when I began to take photos of friends! When I moved from Colorado to Texas I worked some weddings and SWORE that I would not be a wedding photographer. Well after Ryan and I got married I was convinced to pick my camera gear back up! So, I stumbled back into it and I haven’t looked back. Capturing love stories is truly my passion!! Getting to tell your story through images and help start traditions in your home seriously is my mission!
Capturing the details of the wedding day
Capturing the little moments that you might not get to see, the little moments that will be so significant, and the big things! You are going to look at these photos years down the road and be transported back to that moment in time. You should look at my images and get to relive the emotions from the day. My approach to being your wedding photographer
My goal is for you to have a playful experience! You should remember the moments and the memories NOT the poses! A few ways that I help make sure you are prepared and comfortable are the following. Planning an engagement session, helping timeline plan, and supporting you with tips and tricks are just a few! I also love to spoil my couples with little things along the way!
An engagement photo shoot can make such an impact when it comes to your comfort level on the wedding day! If you already know me then we are a step ahead! I will work with you and/or your planner to help make sure that your day goes as you want it! We prioritize the moments and events that mean the most to you! I send you emails and text messages the whole way leading up to the event! You will always feel ready and feel supported! (You can text me any time but I will respond in business hours!! 😉 )
